WHAT’S NEW?

WE ARE NOW ACCEPTING NEW MEMBERS!

If you - or someone in your family - is interested in performing arts (singing, drama, dance) or is looking to build their confidence, make new friends and have fun, why not join Starset Theatre???

We have places at our Durham class, which is based in Newton Hall but accepts students from across Durham and the surrounding areas including Chester-le-Street, Lanchester, Stanley, Consett, Bishop Auckland, Hartlepool, Peterlee etc. The Durham class are staging "Bugsy Malone" in May and need both gangsters and gangsters molls to complete the cast!
........The Boldon class is also performing "Bugsy Malone", and will follow that with "Les Miserables" at the Customs House, South Shields in July. We have places for students at the Boldon class from all the surrounding areas of Whitburn, Cleadon, Sunderland, Seaham, Jarrow, Hebburn, Washington, South Shields etc - and have had students travel from as far afield as Darlington, Consett, Newcastle and Whitley Bay to be involved in our shows!

Interested in Musical Theatre??...... We've recently launched a new class at our Boldon "home" for younger students! Now boys and girls aged 4 - 7 can have their share of the Starset experience, every Sunday morning between 9am - 10am. Students will learn singing, drama and dance, working on appropriate material with qualified, experienced teachers. Get in touch for more details......

Meanwhile, classes for older students aged 7-19 continue as usual....
Can you handle a splurge gun?? Are you a good shot with a custard pie??
Well, come along to either the Durham class or Tyneside class; both are planning productions of "Bugsy Malone" and need extra gangsters to take part in this classic kids tale set in the 1930s - the era of prohibition, illegal gambling, gangsters - and their molls!
Get in touch for more details.....Any children or young people who are interested in singing, drama or dance are welcome to come along and join in - whether you've never appeared on stage before or are an experienced performer looking for more opportunities - everyone is welcome!
